Atlanta Club

SINCE 2017

Israel's real hip-hop institution

After years of activity, club "Atlanta" has earned itself a top status in the rap and black music scene in Israel and has been perceived by artists, partygoers, and nightlife people - as synonymous with “hip-hop”. But Atlanta did not become such an institution overnight. Like any significant cultural movement, Atlanta has deep roots.

Our story begins in 2000, with the founding of the G Spot club - the first (and only) hip-hop club in the State of Israel that dedicated itself to black music culture. The G concentrated Israel's emerging hip-hop scene in the early 2000s at the legendary location in “Atarim Square”, and hosted the historic first performances of many greats of the genre: from Subliminal or Kele Shesh, through Tuna to Ravid Plotnik.

The G has changed several locations over the years, but has maintained its status as a bubbling center for this special culture in the heart of Tel Aviv. Among other things, the G was involved in the production of huge events with leading artists from Israel and abroad, including legendary DJs such as Yella from n.w.a or Grandmaster Flash, one of the founding fathers of Hip Hop.

In 2017, G Spot approached “Nox” leisure and entertainment company, which manages and owns a number of leading clubs and bars in Tel Aviv, with a vision for cooperation. Together with other leading representatives from the hip-hop scene, including the blasé blasé PR and production body (today: lv entertainment) it was decided to join hands for a project that will take the local hip hop club scene to its next level: Club Atlanta.

The chosen location, in the center of Tel Aviv, in the basements of “London Ministores” mall, became the talk of the day, or night, of Tel Aviv's nightlife right from the first party - 12.5.2017. Takeover of the hip hop scene was almost immediate and within months Atlanta became synonymous with real, up-to-date and uncompromising hip-hop. For five years, Atlanta held innumerable parties, 99% of them pure hip-hop, with special focus on the trap genre (which originates in the city of Atlanta). The club dictated not only the music – but the fashion, slang and taste of tens of thousands of hip-hop-seeking partygoers and became their home. Atlanta, like its previous incarnation, knew how to promote hot local talents, and also to pamper its’ audience with tastes from abroad, with carefully chosen high-quality imports of super relevant DJs and artists.

The peak came at the five-year party for Atlanta, held at the huge Hangar 11 in Tel Aviv, which was  “Atlantized” for one night. Not only Atlanta's resident DJs appeared on stage, but also local artists who represent all the diversity and beauty of Israeli hip-hop: Sima Nun, Subliminal, Ravid Plotnik, Ori Shochat, Dudu Faruk, Shekel, Duda, and others. At the height of the evening, the sensational British artist Russ Millions -  spearhead of the drill scene (a current hip-hop style originating in England) - took the stage and stunned the audience with a precise and deadly performance

If one could think that this was the peak of our story - we had other ideas. That evening, on stage - we surprised the thousands of attendees when we announced the closing of Atlanta... and its reopening in a new luxurious location. The very next day we held a crazy test run party at Atlanta 2.0 at its current location in London Ministores, one floor above the previous location. Since then, we have hosted dozens of events. We know now that this is our real home and the home of any hip-hop lover who happens to be in the area. Our regular party lines continue to thrive every weekend: On Thursdays, from 23:00 p.m., trap drill and new school hip-hop with all the right figures of the hip-hop scene, led by the resident DJs: Moshik, Kabookiz, Infinity. This party outlines and dictates the current and uncompromising style of hip-hop played in Atlanta.

On Fridays from 23:30 p.m. new and old hip-hop hits, in all its shades - trap, afrobeats, dancehall, old school, drill and everything in between, in the celebrated G-spot party. Party helmed by original resident dj $upreme, alongside Juicey$ap, Kabookiz, Mofi and Infinity. This is a real home away from home for the foreign basketball players playing in Israel and is considered a legendary iconic Tel aviv party.

You can also find the New School hip hop party  with Kabookiz Moshik and Infinity on saturdays. From time to time during the holidays, we also offer the VIBE line which is dedicated to old school hip-hop only, to the veterans of the scene and those who want to experience it as it was in the nineties. Atlanta also offers live performances by the best local artists, fashion fairs, and other bustling activities. Everything appears in our newsletter – Worth joining, scroll down.
